The Leisure and Cultural Services Department said today (August 24) that the Victoria Park Swimming Pool in Eastern District, Hong Kong Island, has been temporarily closed for cleansing and superchlorination following the discovery of a small amount of vomitus in the pool.
The main pool and the multi-purpose pool will be reopened at 8.30pm and 8pm today respectively.
The department appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep our swimming pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities if necessary before swimming.
