Interruption of towngas supply to Fung Wo Estate in Sha Tin

     Today (August 14) at 4.52pm, there was subsidence in Wo Che Street in Sha Tin that was suspected to have caused leakage of underground towngas pipes. The towngas company terminated towngas supply in the nearby affected gas pipelines for safety reasons and emergency repairs are being arranged in order to resume towngas supply as soon as possible. Staff from the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department have already attended to the scene to ensure safety.

     It is estimated that the towngas supply to around 1,400 households in Fung Wo Estate is affected.
