The Land Registry today (July 4) released the following statistics for the first half of 2014.
Land registration
-----------------
* The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration for the first half of 2014 was 34,189 (+8.8 per cent compared with the second half of 2013 but -12.5 per cent compared with the first half of 2013).
* The total consideration for these agreements for the first half of 2014 was $212.49 billion (+1.8 per cent compared with the second half of 2013 but -14.1 per cent compared with the first half of 2013).
* The number of assignments of building units for the first half of 2014 was 39,066 (-3.8 per cent compared with the second half of 2013 and -33 per cent compared with the first half of 2013).
* The total consideration for these assignments for the first half of 2014 was $197.13 billion (-16.6 per cent compared with the second half of 2013 and -39 per cent compared with the first half of 2013).
Land search
-----------
* The number of searches of land registers made by the public for the first half of 2014 was 2,171,679 (+1.1 per cent compared with the second half of 2013 but -7.2 per cent compared with the first half of 2013).
