Three Legislative Council (LegCo) Members conducted a site visit today (June 24) to Kwai Shing West Estate to follow up on a complaint case about request for redevelopment of Kwai Shing West Estate and improvement of the ancillary transport facilities in its vicinity.
Members visited a total of four housing units of Block 5 and Block 10 of Kwai Shing West Estate in the morning to learn more about problems relating to structure and maintenance and the need for redevelopment. Accompanied by representatives of the Housing Department, Members also observed a refurbished unit of the Estate.
Members participating in the site visit included Duty Roster Member Mr Wong Kwok-kin (convener), as well as Mr Leung Yiu-chung and Ms Alice Mak who were invited to attend.
They went back to the LegCo Complex after the site visit for a closed meeting between Members and representatives of the Administration to follow up the case.
