The Town Planning Board (the Board) today (June 13) announced amendments to the draft Kwai Chung Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of a site at Tai Wo Hau Road from "Open Space" ("O") and "Residential (Group A)" to "Residential (Group A)2" ("R(A)2"); a site at Kwai Shing Circuit from "Government, Institution or Community" ("G/IC") and "O" to "R(A)2" for proposed public housing developments; and a site at Lai Kong Street from "G/IC" to "R(A)2" for a proposed private housing development. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zones.
The draft Kwai Chung OZP No. S/KC/28, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board; the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin; the Tsuen Wan and West Kowloon District Planning Office and the Kwai Tsing District Office.
Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before August 13. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft Kwai Chung OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
