Here is an item of interest to swimmers.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (June 12) that since the water off Repulse Bay Beach in Southern District is now suitable for swimming, the red flag which was hoisted earlier due to red tide is now lowered.
Moreover, the red tide off Stanley Main Beach and Turtle Cove Beach in the same district has also subsided and the water quality at these beaches is suitable for swimming. However, due to big waves, red flags have been hoisted at these beaches. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at these beaches.
