Fantasy Puppet Theatre adapted a true story for "Show Me Once", which blends contemporary shadow play and lively puppetry to conjure up a series of dynamic scenes on stage. The young boy Siu-kin catches a rare disease and is going to lose his vision. To give his son lasting memories of some of the world's most amazing sights and experiences, Siu-kin's father sells his small business and together they embark on a glorious globetrotting journey.

Produced by Theatre Noir, the musical "I'MPERFECT" features the story of an ordinary boy, Randall, in the demanding Grandville College. The show explores the effects of perfectionism on children and invites youngsters to accept themselves and to recognise their own virtues.

Performed by Companhia de Música Teatral from Portugal, the music-theatre production "AliBaBach" for babies is best for babies aged up to 2. Occasionally accompanied by simple toy instruments, two performers will sing themes by Bach and other composers while using body language and "baby voices" to open up the imagination of babies.

Tickets for these additional performances will be available at URBTIX from tomorrow (June 5) onwards. Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and their minders, and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients. Booking discounts of up to 20 per cent are available for other IAC full-price performing arts/film programmes.

The IAC, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, will run from July 11 to August 17 featuring a variety of over 410 events for family entertainment. Programme brochures are available at URBTIX outlets or at the carnival website www.hkiac.gov.hk.
