Hong Kong adjusts travel alert for Philippines to Amber

     The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today (April 23) adjusted the Outbound Travel Alert (OTA) for the Philippines to Amber. Hong Kong residents who intend to visit the country or are already there should monitor the situation, exercise caution and attend to personal safety.

     The Security Bureau will continue to closely monitor the situation in the Philippines and issue updates through the media and the OTA webpage (www.sb.gov.hk/eng/ota).

     Hong Kong residents in the Philippines who need assistance may call the 24-hour hotline of the Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit (AHU) of the Immigration Department at (852)1868.
