City Gallery's "City Impression@Connectivity - From Point to Point" exhibition (with photos)

An exhibition titled "City Impression@Connectivity - From Point to Point", jointly presented by the Planning Department, the City Gallery and Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited (KMB), will be held at the City Gallery at 3 Edinburgh Place, Central, from tomorrow (April 16) until May 19. The exhibition will display various exhibits on public bus services and routings, as well as introduce the process of city development.

Speaking at the exhibition's opening ceremony at the City Gallery today (April 15), the Director of Planning, Mr Ling Kar-kan, said that public transport plays an important role in the development process of our city. For many years, bus services have been one of the major means for connecting people and joining them together. The aim of this exhibition is to recapitulate the importance of "connectivity" in town planning through a journey in the time tunnel of bus services over the past decades.

Other officiating guests included the Managing Director of KMB, Mr Edmond Ho; the Deputy Director of Planning (Territorial), Ms Phyllis Li; and the Corporate Affairs Director of KMB, Ms Vivien Chan.

The "City Impression@Connectivity - From Point to Point" exhibition is one of the thematic events of the City Gallery's "City Impression@Connectivity" series launched earlier this year. Featured exhibits include a Daimler A vintage bus and other related contemporary streetscape and bus exhibits. Apart from the exhibition, thematic guided tour services will be provided to introduce the background story of the bus models. Visitors can also take part in a prize quiz. Winners may get the opportunity to visit the KMB depot.

For more information about the exhibition and the thematic guided tour, please visit the City Gallery's website at, or call 3102 1242.
