Police arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with an attempted murder case in Cheung Sha Wan today (April 4).
About 3pm, Police received a report from the man alleging that he had killed his mother-in-law at a unit in Mei Foo Sun Chuen. Police officers and ambulancemen sped to the scene. A 67-year-old woman was found lying unconsciously in the unit and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital for medical treatment.
Initial investigations revealed that the two persons had a money dispute earlier inside the unit and the man had hurt his mother-in-law with a towel soaked in thinner.
Police arrested the man for attempted murder in Mei Foo Sun Chuen afterwards. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Sham Shui Po District are underway.
