Police today (March 19) charged two men, both aged 37, jointly with one count of wounding and one count of theft. They will appear in Eastern Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (March 20).
The two men were arrested in connection with a wounding case in Chai Wan on February 26 in which a 49-year-old man was attacked with a chopper outside 55 Tai Hong Street.?They were arrested in the Mainland earlier and returned by the Guangdong Public Security Department to Hong Kong Police through Huanggang Boundary Control Point on March 17.
The eight men and one woman, who were arrested in Hong Kong on March 12 and 13 in suspect connection with the case, were on bail pending further enquiries and shall report back to Police in mid April.
Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island are under way.
