SJ speaks on breakfast meeting
******************************

Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC, today (March 19) after attending the breakfast meeting on constitutional development at the Central Government Offices with Legislative Council (LegCo) members:

Reporter: How do you think today's breakfast meeting ...?

Secretary for Justice: On the whole the breakfast meeting went well because this is the first time that LegCo members have the opportunity to directly communicate or have a direct dialogue with representatives from the Liaison Office. It's a very good chance for the LegCo members to express their views and, as I said just now in Cantonese, at the end of the breakfast meeting, Mr Liu from the Liaison Office also made concluding remarks in response to the comments or observations made by the LegCo members. I think it's a good start, it's a good move, and it won't be the last time. So it will pave the way for future communication.
