Police are investigating a traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan last night (January 26) in which a 72-year-old man died.
About 11.30pm, a taxi driven by a 65-year-old man was travelling along a slip road of Tsing Sha Highway towards southeast. When reaching near the junction with West Kowloon Highway, it reportedly knocked down the 72-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious injuries, the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 00.08am today (January 27).
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are underway.
