The Hong Kong Heritage Museum today (January 10) launched an exhibition titled "Long time no see, Victoria", which looks at the work of 17 artists and photographers from the museum's collection. The exhibition showcases the memories, interpretations and thinking of the artists during the colonial era. The exhibition runs until March 31.
Various artworks including videos, fashion, pottery figurines, photography and block prints will be on show to reveal the artists' interpretations expressed in different forms and perspectives. Leaflets on the exhibits will also be available to help visitors understand the creative concepts of the artists and views on the society of those times. Visitors are also encouraged to use their imagination to reconstruct this historical period.
On display at the exhibition will be works by Anothermountainman, Chan Ka-yuen, Cheung Chi-wai, Chow Chun-fai, Chun Wai, Bob Davis, Jerry Ho, Leong Ka-tai, Leung Chi-wo, Rosanna Li, Ng Yuen-wa, Bobby Sham, Tsang Kin-wah, Ducky Tse, Tse Ming-chong, Pacino Wan and Wong Wo-bik.
The Hong Kong Heritage Museum is located at 1 Man Lam Road, Sha Tin. It is open from 10am to 6pm on weekdays, and from 10am to 7pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The museum is closed on Tuesdays (except public holidays). The museum will close at 5pm on Lunar New Year's Eve and will remain closed for the next two days. Admission fee is $10 and half-price concessions are applicable to full-time students, people with disabilities and senior citizens aged 60 or above. Group admission fee is $7, applicable to every purchase of 20 tickets or more. Admission is free on Wednesdays.
