Progress of banking complaint cases of HKMA

The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority:

     The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced today (January 10) the progress of its banking complaint cases at the end of December 2013. These cases include customer complaints about banking products or services as well as other cases referred by our banking departments and other regulators.
 
     In December 2013, 84 cases were received and 182 cases were completed. As at end December, the handling of 500 cases is in progress.

     A table summarising the progress of the banking complaint cases is attached.
