Vacancy in Southern District Council

     The Government declared by notice in the Gazette today (December 20) the existence of a vacant elected seat in the Southern District Council (South Horizons West Constituency).

     Following the resignation of elected member Mr Fung Wai-kwong, the office has become vacant pursuant to section 26(b) of the District Councils Ordinance (Cap. 547).

     The Registration and Electoral Office will arrange a by-election.
