The Hospital Authority (HA) today (December 19) announced the appointment of Dr Theresa Li Tak-lai as Head of Human Resources with effect from February 1, 2014.
Dr Li is a specialist in Anaesthesiology and is currently the Hospital Chief Executive of Shatin Hospital and Bradbury Hospice. She is responsible for driving rehabilitation and palliative care services, while co-ordinating cluster psychiatry and radiology services in the New Territory East Cluster. She also actively participates in various corporate projects, including the review of the HA staff clinic service and Health Service Management Training.
Prior to her current appointment, she was the Chief Manager (Strategy, Planning and Service Transformation) of Kowloon Central Cluster. Widely admired for her proactive approach to enhancing the delivery of healthcare services, she was instrumental in the development and execution of several major initiatives, including the establishment of the HA's first designated Joint Replacement Centre at Hong Kong Buddhist Hospital in 2010.
The HA Chief Executive, Dr Leung Pak-yin, congratulates Dr Li on her new appointment and wishes her every success in taking up the new post.
