Recall of proprietary Chinese medicine exceeding bacterial limit (with photo)

The Department of Health today (December 13) ordered the recall of a batch (batch number: B0813) of the proprietary Chinese medicine "Bouwaidan" Bouwaidan (both its product name and trademark text) (registration number: HKP-04754) as its total bacterial count was 6.7 times the limit of the registration criteria.
