Approved South West Kowloon Outline Zoning Plan amended

     The Town Planning Board today (December 13) announced amendments to the approved South West Kowloon Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

     The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of a site at Fat Tseung Street West from "Government, Institution or Community" ("G/IC"), "Open Space" ("O") and an area shown as "Road" to "Residential (Group A)11" ("R(A)11") for a Home Ownership Scheme development, and a waterfront site at Lin Cheung Road from "Other Specified Uses" ("OU") annotated "Cargo Working Area, Wholesale Market and Industrial - Office", "OU" annotated "Wholesale Market", "OU" annotated "Pier" and areas shown as "Road" to "Comprehensive Development Area" ("CDA"), "CDA(2)", "R(A)12", "G/IC", "O" and areas shown as "Road" for private residential/hotel development, public housing, GIC uses and open space. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zones.

     The draft South West Kowloon OZP No. S/K20/29, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board; the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin; the Tsuen Wan and West Kowloon District Planning Office and the Yau Tsim Mong and Sham Shui Po District Offices.

     Any person can make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of Town Planning Board on or before February 13, 2014. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be available for public inspection.
