EMSD urges public to check model of flexible LPG tube (with photos)
************************************************************

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) today (December 10) urged members of the public using flexible liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tubes with the model number GTE108 - SC Kingflex LPG-S01 to check if there is a surface crack at the connection point to the gas appliance. If a surface crack is found or there is suspected gas leakage, they should shut off the gas supply valve, open all windows and contact gas supply companies to conduct gas safety inspection immediately for safety reasons.

The EMSD found the following four batches with surface cracks during inspection:

1. GTE108 EXPIRY 02/2014
2. GTE108 EXPIRY 08/2014
3. GTE108 EXPIRY 02/2015
4. GTE108 EXPIRY 06/2015

The importer of the gas tube, Sunny Eternal Ltd, has stopped selling the said model at the request of the EMSD.

For enquiries, please call Sunny Eternal Ltd at 2380 8276 or the Government Call Centre at 1823.
