Police today (November 7) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Central on November 5 in which a 56-year-old woman died.
About 3.20pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 33-year-old man was travelling along eastbound Chung Kong Road. On reaching outside Shun Tak Centre, the LGV reportedly knocked down the 56-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where she was certified dead at 7.28 pm yesterday (November 6).
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are under way.
