Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom last night (November 6) in which a 33-year-old woman died.
About 10.18pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 41-year-old man was travelling along Hung Hom Road towards Tsim Sha Tsui. When reaching near Tai Wan Road, it reportedly knocked down the woman who squatted on the carriageway.
Sustaining serious injuries to her head, the woman, in an unconscious state, was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 10.40pm.
The LGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
