Contractor fined for violation of safety rules

     Ray On Construction Company Limited was fined $100,000 at Eastern Magistrates' Courts today (October 25) for violation of the Construction Sites (Safety) Regulations. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.

     The case involved a fatal accident that occurred at a renovation site in Causeway Bay on December 24 last year, in which a worker plunged about 6 metres to his death while working on a working platform.
