A 39-year-old woman was jailed for four years for fraud at the District Court today (September 11).
The court heard that the defendant, who was a relationship director of an international bank, had misappropriated about $57 million from her clients for purchasing structured products, and had misappropriated about $29 million from clientˇ¦s accounts by forged documents to cover up the loss of other clients in the investment of structured products.
After investigations by officers of Commercial Crime Bureau, the defendant was charged with fraud.
The defendant was convicted for the offence earlier and was sentenced today.
