The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, will visit Thailand from Wednesday (September 4) to Friday (September 6).
Mrs Lam will depart for Bangkok on Wednesday morning. While in Thailand, she will meet with top officials to forge closer bilateral ties between Hong Kong and Thailand on various fronts. She will take the opportunity to visit the Bangkok Mass Transit System, a hospital and the Bangkok Office of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Mrs Lam will also meet Hong Kong people living and working in Thailand to better understand their situation there.
Mrs Lam will address a business luncheon co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore.
Mrs Lam will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon on September 6. In her absence, the Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, will act as Chief Secretary for Administration.
