Contractor fined for violation of safety rules

Kam Park Engineering Company was fined $26,000 at Fanling Magistrates' Courts today (August 6) for violation of the Construction Sites (Safety) Regulations. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.
The case involved a fatal accident that occurred in Yuen Long on November 5 last year, in which a worker, while fixing the roof window of a single-storey structure, plunged through the roof to his death.
