Approved Aberdeen & Ap Lei Chau Outline Zoning Plan amended

     The Town Planning Board today (July 12) announced amendments to the approved Aberdeen & Ap Lei Chau Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

     The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of a site at the junction of Wong Chuk Hang Road and Yip Kan Street from "Government, Institution or Community (1)" ("G/IC(1)") to "Other Specified Uses (2)" annotated "Business" for business uses and rezoning of a site occupied by Yue Fai Court from "G/IC" to "Residential (Group A)" ("R(A)") to reflect the existing use. Other amendments include revision to the Notes of the OZP for "Industrial" zone in accordance with the Master Schedule of Notes to Statutory Plans and revision to the exemption clause for gross floor area, plot ratio and/or site coverage calculation in relation to caretaker's quarters and recreational facilities in the Remarks of the Notes for "Comprehensive Development Area", "R(A)", "Residential (Group C)" and "Residential (Group E)" zones.

     The draft Aberdeen & Ap Lei Chau OZP No. S/H15/28, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in the North Point and Sha Tin Government Offices, the Hong Kong District Planning Office and the Southern District Office.

     Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before September 12. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.
