Accompanied by the District Officer (Wan Chai), Miss Angela Luk, Mrs Lam first visited the H.O.P.E. Support Service Centre for Ethnic Minorities run by the International Social Service Hong Kong Branch. Established in 2009, the Centre is funded by the Home Affairs Department. It has been offering support services for ethnic minorities in Wan Chai and nearby districts, including language, computer and tutorial classes as well as a range of supporting courses aiming to help them integrate into the local community and promote racial harmony.

Mrs Lam then met with members of the Wan Chai District Council to exchange views on district matters and listen to their views on the needs and concerns of the district, including unauthorised signboards, urban renewal and building maintenance.
