A highlight event of "Hong Kong: Our Home" Campaign, the first in a series of six one-hour lunchtime concerts by the Sinfonietta will be held at the Foyer of the Lower Block of the Hong Kong City Hall, Central on June 25 at 12.45pm. Admission is free and all are welcome to bring food and drinks.

The fishermen of Aberdeen are offering a great way for the public to enjoy a cool sea breeze with the Fishermen Apprentice Workshops on June 30.

Participants will be taken out on fishing boats, which are up to 70 feet long, to give them a taste of life and work at sea. Apprentices will learn basic skills on work safety and life saving as well as inshore fishing methods such as cage trapping, lining and gillnetting.

Two more workshops will be organised in July, during which fishermen will teach participants the difference between a fresh sea catch and those from fish farms.

At an earlier workshop the fishermen shared their recipe for making the famous Aberdeen fish balls. The Fishermen Apprentice Workshops are organised by the Southern District Tourism and Culture Festival Organising Committee.

Application forms and a programme schedule are available at:

About 120 design students from 11 countries/territories will gather in Hong Kong from June 27 to July 11 for World Design Summer Camp 2013, organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre. The design camp is the only one of its kind in Hong Kong or the region.

The theme for the 2013 camp is "Fashion and Culture and Social Innovation". Participating students will attend various track programmes, plenary sessions, seminars and workshops. They will also meet with international design masters.

The students will also take part in a field trip to the Pearl River Delta area to learn more about design trends in southern China.
