The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, will visit Shenzhen to attend the plaque unveiling ceremony of the "Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation Entrepreneurship Base" (the Base) next Monday morning (June 24).
The Base is one of the package of 39 policy measures announced by the Central Government in late June 2012. During the Hong Kong/Shenzhen Co-operation Meeting in January 2013, Hong Kong and Shenzhen signed the "Intent on co-operation in innovation and entrepreneurship base for the youth in Shenzhen and Hong Kong", which aims to facilitate the building of the Base and exchanges between the two places.
Mrs Lam will be joined by the Deputy Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, Mr Johann Wong, on the visit to Shenzhen. They will return to Hong Kong around noon on the same day.
