Proprietor fined for violation of safety rules

     Glory Treasure Engineering Limited was fined $30,000 at Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts today (June 13) for violation of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.

     The case involved a fatal accident that occurred in Tsuen Wan on November 8 last year, in which a worker was struck and trapped by a chiller being transported down a sloping concrete ramp.
