Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom

     Police today (May 30) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom on May 9 in which an 81-year-old man died.

     At about 9.13am on that day, a medium goods vehicle linked with a container trailer driven by a 42-year-old man was travelling along Ma Tau Wai Road northbound. When turning left into Pak Kung Street, it reportedly knocked down the 81-year-old man who was crossing the road.

    Sustaining serious injury to his left hand, the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.02am on May 17.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
