Secretary for Justice begins visit to Xiamen (with photo)

     The Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC, began his two-day visit in Xiamen today (April 26).

     Mr Yuen met with the Party Secretary of Xiamen, Mr Yu Weiguo, in the afternoon to exchange views on the latest developments of the two places, and briefed him on the development of Hong Kong's international commercial arbitration services.

     Mr Yuen said that Xiamen and Hong Kong have close economic and trade relations and hoped that the two places would continue to enhance co-operation in economics, trade and service industry. He expressed his gratitude to the Xiamen Municipal Government for their great support in co-organising the Fujian Xiamen Hong Kong Week 2013.

     Mr Yuen will attend the Seminar on Hong Kong Legal and Arbitration Services tomorrow (April 27) morning and deliver an opening address.
