LegCo Panel on Economic Development visits Kai Tak Cruise Terminal (with photos)

     Members of the Legislative Council (LegCo) Panel on Economic Development conducted a site visit to the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal to understand the latest progress of the project today (April 22).

     Accompanied by the Commissioner for Tourism, Mr Philip Yung, and the representatives of the Architectural Services Department, Members observed the exterior design of the terminal building and received a briefing. Members also toured the baggage hall, landscaped deck, south waiting hall, immigration hall and concourse.

     "The cruise terminal is spacious and the facilities provided are satisfactory. The green landscaped deck located on the roof of the cruise terminal provides a new recreational place for the public. The Panel will continue to monitor the supporting facilities provided to cope with the opening of the cruise terminal, such as the arrangement of the transport link and the early operation of the terminal," Chairman of the Panel on Economic Development, Mr Jeffrey Lam said.

     Members participating the site visit included Chairman of the Panel, Mr Jeffrey Lam, Deputy Chairman of the Panel, Mr Chung Kwok-pan, Mr Wong Ting-kwong, Mr Paul Tse, Mr James Tien, Mr Yiu Si-wing, Mr Christopher Cheung, Dr Elizabeth Quat, Mr Wong Kwok-hing (Non-Panel member) and Ms Cyd Ho (Non-Panel member).
