Approved Cheung Sha Wan Outline Zoning Plan amended
***************************************************

The Town Planning Board today (April 19) announced amendments to the approved Cheung Sha Wan Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

The amendments mainly involved the rezoning of a site at Lai Chi Kok Road/Tonkin Street from "Open Space" ("O") to "Residential (Group A)" ("R(A)"), a site at Lai Chi Kok Road/Hing Wah Street from "R(A)" to "O" and "Government, Institution or Community" ("G/IC"), a site at 650 Cheung Sha Wan Road from "G/IC" to "Commercial (5)", and a site at Fuk Wing Street/Fuk Wa Street (east of Camp Street) from "G/IC" and "R(A)7" to "R(A)10". Opportunity has also been taken to incorporate some technical amendments on the zoning boundaries of various zones to better reflect the as-built conditions and planning intentions.

The draft Cheung Sha Wan OZP No. S/K5/34 incorporating the amendments is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Tsuen Wan and West Kowloon District Planning Office and the Sham Shui Po District Office.

Any person can make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before June 19. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be available for public inspection.

Copies of the draft OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
