Tenders awarded for hotel and residential sites

     The Lands Department today (March 27) announced that tenders for a hotel site and a residential site have been awarded on 50-year land grant at a total premium of $4,142 million.

     The hotel site, Inland Lot No. 9020 at North Point Estate Lane and Shu Kuk Street, North Point, Hong Kong, was awarded to Long Kinetic Limited (parent company - Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited) at $2,722 million. The residential site, Sha Tin Town Lot No. 566 in Area 56A, Kau To, Sha Tin, New Territories, was awarded to Charmford Holdings Limited (parent company - Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited) at $1,420 million.

     "Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the two sites to the highest tenderers," a Lands Department spokesman said.

     The tenderers, other than the successful tenderer, in respect of each lot in alphabetical order with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets were:

     Inland Lot No. 9020 has a site area of about 5,369 square metres and is designated for hotel purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 21,600 sq m and 36,000 sq m respectively.

     Sha Tin Town Lot No. 566 has a site area of about 8,080 sq m and is designated for private residential purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 7,272 sq m and 12,120 sq m respectively.
