High-level conference on "Hong Kong Ideas, Mainland Opportunities"

     The Trade and Industry Department and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will jointly hold the "Hong Kong Ideas, Mainland Opportunities" high-level conference on December 6 (Thursday). Entrepreneurs of well-known Hong Kong brands will share with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) their creative branding strategies, practical experiences and tips on tapping into the Mainland market. Interactive media experts will introduce various brand promotion channels in social and mobile media.

     The conference will contain two sessions. The first session will be the Main Symposium. Speakers will include the Executive Director of Kee Wah Bakery Limited, Mr Max Wong, and Founder and Chief Operation Officer of G.O.D. Limited Mr Benjamin Lau.

     The second session will be the Panel Discussion entitled "Social and Mobile Media". Speakers will include Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gravitas Limited Mr Ricky Chu; the Vice President, Marketing and Account Service of Touchmedia, Ms Lynne Lee; and the Operations Director of Baby-Kingdom.com Limited, Mr Rainer Sip.

     This high-level conference is one of the highlights of the annual World SME Expo, which aims to provide a platform for service providers to promote their services and business solutions to SMEs, and help SMEs explore the opportunities in the Mainland and international markets.

     The conference will be held from 1.45pm to 5.30pm in Seminar Room E, Hall 1, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It will be conducted in Cantonese and English (with simultaneous English and Putonghua interpretation). Admission is free.
