Hongkong Post announced today (November 26) that Hennessy Road Post Office, located at G/F, Asian House, 1 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, will be closed down after the end of business on December 1 (Saturday) to make way for redevelopment of Asian House. Its operations will be relocated to Johnston Road Post Office, which will open for business at G/F, Shop 2, 22 Johnston Road, Wan Chai, on December 3 (Monday).
The business hours of Johnston Road Post Office will be same as those of Hennessy Road Post Office as follows:
Monday to Friday: 9.30am to 5pm
Saturday : 9.30am to 1pm
Johnston Road Post Office, which will be barrier-free and provide improved facilities with a new design, will continue to provide the current range of counter services as well as services for philately, post office boxes and private franking machines.
Hand-back service will be available at Johnston Road Post Office on December 3 for privately prepared covers with full postage paid and the superscription "First Day Cover".
