Additional LegCo Finance Committee meeting sought to discuss Old Age Living Allowance

The Administration has written to the Chairman of the Finance Committee (FC) of the Legislative Council today (November 1) to request an additional FC meeting to be held on November 9 to continue discussion on the funding proposal for the Old Age Living Allowance (OALA).
"The Administration sincerely hopes to introduce the OALA as soon as possible for the benefit of over 400 000 needy elderly people," a Government spokesman said.
