FS leaves for Tokyo for IMF and World Bank Group Annual Meetings (with photos)

     The Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, left for Tokyo this morning (October 11) for the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group to be held tomorrow (October 12).

     On arrival in Tokyo, Mr Tsang held a meeting with the Chairman of Blackrock's Asia Pacific region, Mr Mark McCombe. They exchanged views on the economic outlook of the US and Europe.

     This was followed by a courtesy call on the Chinese Ambassador to Japan, Mr Cheng Yonghua.

     Mr Tsang concluded the day by visiting Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, which is the centrepiece of the Roppongi Hills urban redevelopment with a mix of office space, arts and cultural facilities and tourist attractions.

     Tomorrow, Mr Tsang will attend the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group as a member of the Chinese delegation.
