FS arrives in Vladivostok for APEC meetings (with photos)

     The Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, arrived in Vladivostok, Russia, today (September 6) to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting and APEC CEO Summit on behalf of the Chief Executive.

     Mr Tsang said that there were four priorities for discussion at the APEC Leaders' Meeting. They are trade and investment liberalisation, strengthening food security, establishing reliable supply chains, and fostering innovative growth.

     In addition to attending the APEC meetings, Mr Tsang will witness the signing ceremony of the Free Trade Agreement between Hong Kong and Chile.

     "We are also trying our best to arrange a meeting with the President of the Philippines, who will also attend the APEC meetings, to reflect the demands of the family members of victims of the Manila hostage incident," Mr Tsang added.
