Police appeal for witnesses to fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po

     Police are appealing to the public for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po on July 25 in which an 83-year-old man died.

     About 11am on that day, a public light bus driven by a 61-year-old man was travelling along northbound Pak Tin Street. When turning into eastbound Berwick Street, it reportedly hit the man who was crossing the road.

     The man sustained head injury and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.30pm on August 26.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West Region are underway.

     Police urged anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer to contact the investigating officers on 2773 5200 or 2773 5262.
