Additional performance of "Bambolenat" by Sombras de Arena
**********************************************************

In response to overwhelming demand, an additional performance of the programme "Bambolenat" by Sombras de Arena from Argentina, part of the Boundless Multi-media Series presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, will take place at 8pm on September 20. Tickets will be available from tomorrow (August 24) onwards.

"Bambolenat" delivers an extraordinary theatre experience combining sand drawing, live music, shadow puppetry and acting. The production tells the story of a man's birth and his encounters with the world. He starts his journey by travelling through different places and finds himself in diverse situations. Then, when he meets a goddess, a different quest begins. The programme was awarded the Best Music, Shadow Puppets & Sand Drawing - Theatre of the World Award 2009 by the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina.

Sombras de Arena's group of artists from different disciplines formed a team of creators in 2007. After a lengthy period of working with various objects and creating different images and providing many ideas, "Bambolenat" was eventually born. The show is an experience that has been described as a "live movie". The work premiered in 2008 and has been presented in different venues and festivals in cities across Argentina.

The additional performance of "Bambolenat" by Sombras de Arena from Argentina will be staged at 8pm on September 20 (Thursday) at the Theatre, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre. Tickets priced at $200 and $160 are now available at all URBTIX outlets, on the Internet and by credit card telephone booking from August 24.
