The soon-to-open City Gallery is collaborating with three renowned local artists under the theme of "City X Art", aiming to share with members of the public the artists' own "unique Hong Kong" and the inter-relationship between art and the city.

Six paintings comprising Raymond Fung's "Hong Kong Series - High Island Reservoir" and "Hong Kong Series - Long Ke", Shen Ping's "Sunshine in Spring" on Tai O and "Fruit Stalls at Pottinger Street" on Central, and Au Ka-lam's "Tai Ping Ching Chiu - Sheung Shui" and "The Peak" are being printed as a set of limited edition postcards. From August 22 onwards, every visitor at the City Gallery will be given one postcard for free, while stocks last.

A spokesperson for the City Gallery said today (August 16), "As one of the celebrating activities for the grand opening of the City Gallery, this meaningful 'City X Art' campaign promotes the concept of integrating art into city life while sharing the artists' vision of Hong Kong as the ideal place to live."

Located at 3 Edinburgh Place, Central, the City Gallery is the first permanent planning and infrastructure gallery in Hong Kong and will be officially opened on August 20. Occupying five storeys with a floor area of more than 3,200 square metres, the gallery will offer a host of interactive exhibits to showcase the uniqueness of Hong Kong in the past and the future, as well as share with the public the vision for city planning and infrastructure projects.
