The Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department today (August 10) called on parents not to let their babies consume four powdered infant formulae imported from Japan as the iodine content of their samples tested were rather low and may have potential adverse health effects on infants. They are (from left) Meiji HP for 0 to 36 months old (850 grams per can), Morinaga for 0 to 12 months old (820 grams per can), Morinaga for 0 to 12 months old (13 grams x 10 packets), and Wakodo for 0 to 9 months old (13 grams x 10 packets).
