Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Education, Mr Eddie Ng, at a media session after meeting parent's representatives today (July 28):
Reporter: Why do you think that Education Bureau today fell apart with the Parents Concern Group?
Secretary for Education: I'm not sure that it is like falling apart. What actually happened for the first 45 minutes is that there are quite a lot of questions raised and I was trying to respond to each and every one of them, including inviting some of my colleagues to go into more details. A minor problem is that it was a bit rush. We are trying to get a very quick answer which I think, you know, we really want to have more two-way exchange. So I would not call that a falling off or falling down. I would think that it's the beginning of a continuous, ongoing exchange. Trust me, it's my job and everybody's job in my bureau to make sure we explain as much as possible and we treasure today's meetings. Thank you.
