President Hu meets people from different sectors (with photos/videos)

     President Hu Jintao spent this afternoon (June 30) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre meeting a wide range of people.

     Accompanied by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, President Hu first met some 200 people representing various sectors in Hong Kong. President Hu shook hands with representatives in the first row before taking a group photograph.

     This was followed by a meeting with members of the executive, legislature and judiciary of the third-term Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, including the Chief Justice of the Court of Final Appeal, Principal Officials, the President of the Legislative Council, Non-official Members of the Executive Council and Permanent Secretaries.

     President Hu also held another meeting with Central Government officials based in Hong Kong and representatives of the People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison and major Hong Kong-based Chinese enterprises.

     Tonight, President Hu will attend a welcome dinner hosted by the HKSAR Government and then the Grand Variety Show in Celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the Reunification.
