President Hu to visit HKSAR

     President Hu Jintao will visit Hong Kong from June 29 to July 1 to attend activities to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR.

     The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, said today (June 24): "In the 15 years since reunification with the Motherland, Hong Kong has successfully implemented 'One Country, Two Systems' and maintained prosperity and stability.  As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of the reunification, we are honoured to have President Hu to attend the celebration activities as well as the inauguration ceremony of the Fourth Term Government of the HKSAR.  His presence shows the Central Government's strong support for Hong Kong.  On behalf of the people of Hong Kong and the SAR Government, I would like to extend to him our warmest welcome and deepest gratitude."
