Good indoor air quality (IAQ) is an essential element in green living. To promote this message, the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) today (May 18) opened a three-day exhibition to introduce ways to maintain good IAQ in daily lives and different environments. Members of the public are welcome to visit the exhibition.

The roadshow, entitled "Achieve Better Indoor Air Quality for Healthy Living", is being staged on 3/F at iSquare in Tsim Sha Tsui.

"We spend over 70 per cent of our time in indoor places, including at homes, in offices and at other indoor public places. Keeping good IAQ makes us feel comfortable and, more importantly, safeguards our health. We can effectively improve IAQ simply by paying attention to our living habits," a spokesman for the EPD said.

The exhibition presents the common air pollutants through descriptive and pictorial display panels and electronic display boards. Visitors can also learn ways to remove these air pollutants through an interactive game. The exhibition features have been designed to help people improve IAQ in their daily lives.

A TV announcement is also being shown during the exhibition to raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining good IAQ.

The "Achieve Better Indoor Air Quality for Healthy Living" exhibition is open from noon to 8pm daily until Sunday (May 20).
