The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Stephen Lam, today (April 9) hosted an event in celebration of Easter at his residence for some 80 youths and children from the underprivileged families in North District and Tin Shui Wai and a number of young voluntary workers. Mr Lam had spent a joyful day with the youths and children.
During the event, they watched dance and magic performances as well as participating in activities such as drawing, rope-skipping and Easter egg hunt.
The event was aimed at sharing joy of Easter with youths and children from underprivileged families and fostering them hope for the future.
Mr Lam encouraged the youths and children to proactively face up to the future. He also expressed his gratitude to the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Hong Kong which organised the event, as one of the university's "Service 100" projects.
